Each year millions of people across the world face the reality of living with mental health challenges. It is estimated that nearly 9 out of every 10 persons living with these challenges, experience the effects of stigma and/or discrimination becuase of their illness.

The Lehigh Valley Mental Health Awareness Walk and Resource Expo is an annual event held each May to promote Mental Health Awarness Month. The goal of this event is to raise awareness , provide access to resources and work toward reducing and elimiating the stigma surrounding mental illness.
